RERA Exam is independent of the Dubai Land Department and RERA. The DLD can change its fees: its pages prevail.
A simple sum for a new broker. It is our addition, not a DLD figure.
Add the four exam lines (AED 770 before VAT) and the card (AED 500). You reach AED 1,270 before VAT on the ERES line. A year later, renewal adds AED 520.
What this sum leaves out
Training, the good conduct certificate and the brokerage’s trade licence. The DLD pages we checked give no fee for them, so we state none. Ask your brokerage what it covers for you.
| Line | AED |
|---|---|
| Exam, knowledge, innovation, ERES | 770 |
| Broker card | 500 |
| Total, year one | 1,270 |
| Renewal, year two | 520 |
You will find several totals online. They are not always wrong. They count different things.
The same applies to the exam format. The DLD publishes no question count, duration or pass mark. When a guide gives you one, it is a report, not a DLD rule.
One payment, 12 months of access, paid by card. No subscription. These prices are ours, not the DLD’s.

To compare: the preparation costs about one fifth of the exam lines alone. If you sit the exam twice, the second attempt alone costs more than the full preparation.

The DLD does not publish retake rules. Guides say you can resit and pay the fee again.
No. The DLD lists the exam fees and the card fee as separate lines.
Three groups are exempt from the exam itself: applicants over 55, brokers with 5 consecutive years in the same real estate office, and start-up licence holders.
Yes. Brokerages can buy seats for a team and get one invoice. See RERA prep for brokerages.
